Why All the Man-Haters?

I open the Medium app between clients to do some light reading. I see story after story about why women prefer weak men (no woman that I know, by the way), how newfound self-esteem is prompting one writer to fight with men in the comments section, and why a woman would rather encounter a bear than a man.

If you want a good man, you need to believe they exist.

First, I’m not sure why the algorithm is showing me these posts because I absolutely adore men. I assume it’s because I write mostly for women about the Divine Feminine, and somehow, that has grouped me with man-haters. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

It truly saddens and worries me to see so many women dismiss men or believe that their lives will be better without them. While, of course, a woman doesn’t need a man to survive, if she finds a good one, her life will surely be better for it — as will his. There’s a life-enhancing complementary in a man-woman dynamic, a polarity that attracts and creates chemistry, a successful home life, and a beautiful, enlivening partnership.

The big problem I see is that we’ve feminized the modern man. We told them that they can’t act overtly masculine, yet we don’t want…
